Our Terms
and Conditions cover the following:
CANCELLATION
POLICY:
In the event of
cancellations or reductions in number made the following
percentages of total bed night costs will be charged:
- 35 - 20 days from date of accommodation - 10%
- 19 - 10 days from date of accommodation - 25%
- 9 - 2 days from date of accommodation - 35%
- Within 48 hours of date of accommodation- 100%
Transport cost, if applicable, will also be charged for
cancellation within 48 hrs.
CHILD
RATES:
- At the Ark, child
rates are for children 7-12 years sharing with parents,
children under 7 years are only allowed on specified
Children’s Nights.
- All other properties child rates are for ages 2 (from 2nd
birthday) to 12 (12th birthday) years.
- Under 2 years FREE.
- Over 12 years pays adult rate.
- Child rates apply only to children sharing with one or two
adults. Children in own room pay adult rate.
Our child rates are
valid for children from 2 to 16 years of age
OUTSIDE
CATERING:
THE NORFOLK is
renowned for its professional outside catering services for
birthdays, graduation, anniversaries, weddings and other
parties. Within a 100-mile radius of Nairobi, gatherings of up
to 1,000 persons can be catered for. MOUNT KENYA SAFARI
CLUB can cater for parties of up to 100 persons covering
the Nanyuki area.
RATES:
All rates indicated in
US Dollars (for non-residents of East Africa) and are
inclusive of service charge and all Government taxes and
levies. If you reside in Kenya, Tanzania or Uganda, please

TEMPORARY
MEMBERSHIP FOR CASUAL VISITS:
Guests are charged a
temporary membership / entrance fee on casual visits to the
Aberdare Country Club and Mount Kenya Safari Club, unless
entering the premises to have a meal at one of the Clubs.
Residents
of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda:
PROOF
OF RESIDENCE:
Residents of Kenya,
Uganda and Tanzania are required to produce proof of residence
at all Lonrho Hotels Kenya properties.
KWS
SMART CARDS:
For East African
Residents, entry into Kenyan National Parks is now only
permitted by KWS SMART CARD, which is available from KWS
Headquarters in Nairobi. Please ensure that your card is
up-to-date, or you will not be granted access to the Aberdare
National Park to visit the Ark!
