Our rooms are fully air-conditioned and feature a locally

carved "Pili Pili" four-poster double bed, a standard size day bed that can convert into a second bed. Tiled ceramic floor throughout the room and bathroom.
Every room is fitted with a combination safe for your convenience.
The bathroom is well designed with a very spacious shower.
Every room is fitted with a "mosquito net" that covers the entire double bed to ensure a peaceful night.
All our rooms are overlooking the swimming pools and gardens, there is however a possibility of pre-booking one of our "Ocean Front Room", please inquire with our Reservations Office for the relevant requirements.
Inter connecting rooms are available on various floors.
Balconies and Verandas are very spacious and fitted with "Swahili easy chairs".
Children may be accommodated on ground floor rooms for your safety.

The main Restaurant features a different "theme" every night. This is where you will also have your breakfast in the morning.

The "Nyama-Choma" where you will have the privilege to eat "by the pool", specialising in meat, fish and seafood grilled on a roaring charcoal fire.

The Boriti Snack Bar (A la carte Restaurant), open during the day, that offers a variety of light lunches and local specialities with a fast and efficient service.

Our Italian Restaurant, open for Dinner only, will take care of this special evening where eating next to the sea is the order of the day.

For a quick and easy lunch, you can also try our "Beachcomber Stir Fry Tent" located on the Beachfront where our Chefs will cook your favourite "mix" A la minute.

A wide selection of Seafood dishes and local meat platters are available on request, and not to be missed. Consult our Executive-Chef for all your special requirements.

A comprehensive and well-adjusted Wine list will give you the opportunity to discover an array of International Wines.

We have 5 bars at your disposal conveniently located throughout the resort. Our "Swim up Bars" are just the perfect place for that special "sun downer" in the late hours of the afternoon.

Our main Bar is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Sports & Leisure Department" has a very comprehensive programme that caters for everyone's taste, abilities and preferences.

Enjoy a strong game of Water polo and team up with other guests or simply enjoy a "nature walk" to the river estuary…………..the choice is yours.

Floodlit tennis court, Volley ball, squash court, Fitness centre, pool games, Deep sea fishing, scuba diving, Petanque, tables tennis, Darts, snorkelling, water aerobics, windsurfing, Catamaran sailing, pool tables, bird watching are some of the activities available to you at Southern Palms Beach Resort.

Another way to discover Kenya is to take a walk to the local nearby African Village where you will have the opportunity to appreciate a different way of life; peaceful and rich in traditions. We organize a Village walk every week; this is not to be missed.
Please note that some of these activities are available at an extra cost.

At night, you will be entertained with a selection of African Shows such as traditional dancers, African music, Acrobats, local folklore………….
And dancing music will take over to carry you to the late hours of the evening.

Background music takes place most nights during Dinner in our Main restaurant.

A fine Kenya hotel ideally located on one of the most beautiful "white sand beaches" on the South-Coast yet within reaching distance of most popular sites and places of interests along our shores.

A valid passport is required to enter Kenya. Please check with your travel agent for the latest visa requirements for Kenya.

Medical requirements and vaccinations:

No specific vaccinations are required to enter Kenya, but it is advisable to consult your doctor prior to departure to ensure a "trouble free holiday".

Malaria can be a hazard in all tropical coastal and lowland areas of the tropics.

The World Health Organization recommends all Kenyan visitors to take prophylactic before, during and after visiting such areas.

The recently build Diani B each Hospital is nearby and very well equipped to face most situations, however should an emergency arise, specialised medical facilities are available in Mombasa 35 Km away from the Resort.

GENERAL

Travel light and dress comfortably, lightweight cotton is the most suitable fabric to wear.
A jersey/Pull over may become useful in the evening and early morning.

Should you go on a Safari, please remember to take warm clothing with you, as it does get cold at times.
Remember to bring your Camera/Video Camera, Binoculars with you, as you will find it very useful during your stay in Kenya.
Appropriate dress code is required when visiting towns, villages.
Topless tanning is not welcome in most places; please respect the local customs and traditions.
