It
is an amphibious African mammal of the family Hippopotamidae.
Hippopotamuses are the largest non-ruminating, even-toed,
hoofed mammals. Hippopotamuses are generally inoffensive
but sometimes make unprovoked attacks on small boats,
smashing them in their jaws. |
